Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix 18/03/05 to 20/03/05

Hi Guys,

It's the time of the year again where I would be organsing a trip to watch the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix in Sepang KL. The date of the event is from 18/03/05 to 20/03/05.

I am trying to organise a 3 days 2 nites trip for the Malaysian F1 GP.

The package will includes:
1. 3 days chartered transport (minibus or bus, depending on attendance),
2. 2 nites stay at Hotel Ancasa (formerly Hotel Impiana just beside Chinatown or Jalan Petaling),
3. 2 days entry ticket (Hillstand) for the GP weekend.

Cost about S$300. Those who are keen can pm me for more details.

The tentative itinerary for the F1 trip will basically as follows:

Friday 18/03/05
0630hrs - Meet at centralised location
0645hrs - Leave for Kuala Lumpur
1300hrs - Reach Kuala Lumpur & Check in Hotel Impiana
From 1330hrs onwards - Free & Easy

Saturday 19/03/05
1000hrs - Gather to leave for Sepang Circuit
1130hrs - Reach Sepang Circuit
1130hrs to 1300hrs - Watch support races & go shopping for F1 merchandise
1300hrs to 1400hrs - F1 1st Qualifying
1415hrs - Gather & Return to KL
1530hrs - Reach KL, then Free & Easy again!

Sunday 20/03/05
0900hrs - Check out of Hotel & gather to leave for Sepang Circuit
1030hrs - Reach Sepang Circuit
1100hrs to 1200hrs - F1 2nd Qualifying
1200hrs to 1500hrs - Watch Drivers Parade, Silver Arrows & other support races.
1500hrs - Malaysian F1 Grand Prix Starts
1630hrs - Malaysian F1 GP Ends
1700hrs - Gather to leave for Singapore
2200hrs - Reach Singapore

The timings are indicative only. The final timings will be confirmed 1 week prior to leaving for the trip. Cheers.

is there number of people limit? any group packages?

Hi sbs99,

There is no fix limit to the number of people. Depending on the attendance for the trip, we can either cater a 11 seater mini bus or a 22 seater coach. So far, for the pass few years, we usually cater the 11 seater Ford Transit mini bus because we only have around 10 guys on the trip.
10 person is a nice group to move around because we would not have to wait too long for each other.

As of today, I have confirmed 4 guys, including myself, that are joining the trip. As such, I am only left with 6 vacancies to fill up. If you are interested, do let me know how many of you guys might want to go.

The package price is S$300 per person based on twin sharing. So it will be better to get a friend together to share the room, unless you would not mind sharing with my friends lah. ;p
