Malaysia confirms first H1N1 flu case

After the SARS fiasco, everyone's a little kiasu this time round incuding WHO.

Not surprising that they'll be in that gan chiong state for a while but the mortality rate for H1N1 isn't as high as SARS or H5N1.

Take note that most fatalities are either young infants (similar to HFMD) or isolated to Mexicans where the health system may not be as far reaching to the general population as more developed countries are.

Overall, I don't think it's really a cause for alarm but of course one should not get complacent and take any chances in tempting fate.
