1. In which area is critique or feedback to be given?
Composition.

2. What were you hoping to achieve with this image?
A good landscape picture to show the beauty of malacca jetty at night

3. Under what circumstance was the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Shoot around 10PM at malacca jetty on a tripod.

4. Thread-starter's personal thoughts about the image?
I think the picture composition is OK. Longer exposure will make the reflection better?

As per the comment on your other critique thread, too centred along the horizon line and I think this time you could definitely use the Rules of Third to much better effect. You could either choose to use the black sky to more effect, or in my opinion, to show more of the colourful lights from the building (because black blank areas aren't really easy to be used effectively - and although when done right, can have very powerful effects on a picture, I don't think it applies here). Just my 2c, not an expert or anything.

I think the composition is alright. I don't think the rules of third can work here. You will lose the reflections or have a large patch of black. That is what I thought. The reflections are ok. I think you had too much contrast, making the dark areas really black. Can't even make out the structures.
