1. If u can.. use a tripod or rest the camera on a stable surface.

2. Use timer to take the pic.

3. Use the "macro" mode of the camera.

4. Even if it's in "macro", there is still a min focus distance.. Do take note.

5. Dun use camer built-in flash.. Try to use diffused light

Are you sure you are far enough for focusing properly? When I use my +4 on my S602, I need to be abt ~25cm away in order to be able to auto focus. Perhaps try moving further away to cure your "blur" problem?

Also, do NOT use the macro mode with the close-up filter. I think the camera won't be able to focus in macro mode with the filter on.

yeah thanks, using a tripod:)

using this too

using this too

i think its 16 cm for the lens. so with 4x its 16/4 = 4?
i read some thread wch explains that filter does not alter minimum distance, it juz maginifies. logically sounds true. any1 confirm? shud i focus from 16 cm?

i use a standard 100 w yellow light bulb on top. too bad for a40 that cannot use external flash :( as for the built in flash, with a filter on a40, the flash is blocked

thx alot, ur post reminded me of the focal length point. i go back now and try with around 20 cm.
