Macro lens

Hello everybody,

I want to experiment on macro before investing much on that dirction. I heard that lens reversing rings are good cheap alternatives. Anyother suggestion :think: . What about the macro adapter lenses. Please advice me on the availabilty of these things and the price range.

If experimenting, your best bet is one of the 2 element closeup diopters from Canon or Nikon. It attaches like a filter to the end of the lens. Don't bother with reversing rings, etc yet. Just get the filter first.

if u using reverse ring in Canon camera you can't control the apetture, but if u use other lens that has control appeture in the lens sure u can

Actually, you can.... here's what you do:
1) fix the lens on your Canon SLR.
2) Switch to AV mode
3) Choose the aperture you want and snap
4) Off camera and remove the lens

Your lens should retain its aperture setting.
