Can a macro lens ne used for taking far objects ?

:embrass:

thanks (paisei think is a silly question... mi newbie 2 macro lens)

I tot of more like can kit lens used to take macro shot lol...

This is true only for the dedicated macro lenses eg. 1:1, 1:2.

Not apllicable to those closeup filters.

kk thanks :p

cause moi thinking of getting a lens with further range & for taking macroz too :)

If you are not really serious in macro but wanna try it out and at the same time need the reach.

I think Sigma 70-300mm 1:2 lens suit you which cosr around $200-300+

Yes, why not. A dedicated macro lens is just a normal lens but it offer a shorter minimum focusing distant than other lenses.

In some sense, shorter minimum focusing distant (may) equal to larger image on your film/sensor.

I have a 100mm macro lens 2.8f (canon) some times I use it for portrait at the distance of 10 feet. The details can be very clear.

Or perhaps you can consider the Tamron 90mm... It is cheaper...

If I am not wrong, a new piece will cost about $600. A second hand piece may cost around $400 plus.

buy Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO DG Macro lens loh....not bad for 1:2
