Hi seniors,

My main hobby is into watches and got me started in photographing them. I used to rely heavily on the macro function of my digicam and so far all ok.

I recently bought a GF1 and still playing with it. I noticed the macro mode is not really macro as the object is still a distance from the lens.

In the end i am not able to capture the details on the watch dial and the watch hands.

Any suggestions how I can improve? The salesguy at Cathay says I should get a Leica macro lens but that sets me back $1400+?!?! As a novice, I am not ready (nor able) to spend such a huge capital outlay!

Thanks for your advice folks :)

browsing the threads and found this:

raynox dcr250 macro lens adaptor

Hmmmm.....cheap and probably can satisfy my thirst now :)

will go home and check to see if the GF1 lens can take it.

thanks!
