hi guy, i plan to go Macau on Jan. wonder which hotel is good, convenience and good pr..mo abt place to go, eat...plz help me :lovegrin:

Alfonso Restaurant (South Island), near Westin Resort is great for local (Portugese) food. Price is fair and really value for money. Not sure of the address but they're in the yellow pages.

stay at the venetian!!! No regrets!!!!

Agreed on the Venetian. You'll never look back and think, I could have... should have... would have... Book the Venetian and enjoy.

ohh thks guys. i plan go on my holiday soon ..what food nice??? im searching Venetian nowww. :X

Just came back from Macau 1 week ago. Was staying at Venetian Hotel. Its 1 of the convenience hotel that provide free shuttle bus to several locations. There is hardly any requirement to take cab in Macau.

For food wise, i went to 'Guan Ye Jie'. Its somehow an old food street where you can get cheaper food, there are restaurants too.
You can do a search for Seng Cheong, they sell famous crab roe porridge.
THe other 1 i went to was Dumbo restaurant. Nice food and ambience too. :) Price wise is about SG restaurant price.

Anyway don't expect food to be cheap there.. was shioked when i saw the prices in Venetian food court.. mainly HKD50 to HKD100 per plate.

I just came from Macau & Zhu Hai, you may opt to stay in Zhuhai instead for the following good reasons :

(1) Accommodation is CHEAP !!! (stay near the Gongbei Border)
(2) Seafood is CHEAP !!!
(3) Shopping is GREAT !!! (underground mall below Gongbei Border)
(4) Massage , SPA, Pedicure & Manicure - VERY CHEAP !!!
(4) Easily accessible to Macau - Free Casino shuttle bus is available at the border

Staying in Zhu Hai is a good option for anyone who is holding a Singapore passport.

For budget, you need to lower your expectation to a very minimal level. Then you can happily enjoy your stay. Accommodation in Macau is not cheap. If you found about HKD300 per night per person (for double room) is consider good deal, to me.

For Macau, avoid weekend if possible, the hotel usually goes double its price on Fri and Sat night.

Check http://www.macau.com/en for some budget stay.

By the way, Macau is very cold recently. Be prepared.

When I go to Macau, I always stay at Venetian.

If I win, I'd eat at the restaurants in the hotel. It's on the 3rd or 5th floor. You can try pick up the brochure. They're very, very expensive, though.

If I lose, I'd eat Fatburger or at other stalls in the food court lol

Hmmm.....some say you like to listen to static,is it true?

If you stay in Venetian, there are loads of stuff there,I stayed at Golden Dragon hotel ,it's beside fisherman's wharf.I belive you should be going there, okay so when you come out of fisherman's wharf, you will see golden dragon hotel.Go to the road opposite the hotel, then walk down until you see a restaurant that is next to a money changer. The food there is fabulous.
If the details isnt clear enough, you can pm me

Here's a tip... u can sometimes get very good hotel rates in Macau if u book through a travel agency in Zhuhai.
