The ISO range is 80 (min) to 3200 (max)

so we can also do ISO tests

since the light field camera allows you to change the focus after you shoot, what you shoot and how you shoot changes as well

[lytro]lyt-48136242484896/pictures/634237[/lytro]

you are also restricted to the popular square format, images are processed and uploaded on their website, you can then share them to the web, Facebook, Twitter, google plus and more

insanely great for images where it is difficult to focus, like small pets

the downside to the camera is the low res touchscreen, it is very different from the LCDs on the back of my DSLR
difficult to see what is in focus and what is not

[lytro]lyt-48136242484896/pictures/636820[/lytro]

i may be wrong but it seems that there is a minimal focusing distance

[lytro]lyt-48136242484896/pictures/636822[/lytro]
in this test the camera was 10cm away from the first battery, the batteries were places 3cm apart from each other

as i mentioned i may be wrong about this as i have seen some really close up shots on their website

example

i will investigate further, sorry about that

Hmmm since the Lytro allows you to re-focus *after* the shot is taken, the low-res LCD on the itself lends itself to just composition and placement of objects.

As mentioned earlier, the Lytro camera changes the way one shoots and composes and in this case, focusing is *not* the main .. errr .. focus of the Lytro.

I am right there is a creative mode that allows focusing to go really close, up to touching the lens, lets see what it can do

seems like a fun camera. Just snap dont worry about the focus.

Yup. But the resolution is not ideal yet. Hopefully LYTRO 2 can come soon.

the ability to focus later makes shooting bugs easier, you just need to compose and do a rough focus then press the shutter
