I didnt see any dust go in with the auto lens cap and i'm using the original lumix case. not sure about other case which have small fibers of dust.

Bought LX5 yesterday at TK. Yup, that is what I was quoted.
I would like to add that:
1. The price is valid for credit card purchase (dun need to add 2%) so you still can clock a weeeee-bit of point/cashback on ur credit card.
2. 8GB Sd card is class 4.

For the JJC auto lens cap, working well... so far so good. Of course, there are small gaps between the flaps so i believe small dust may be able to get in. If you want ABSOLUTE dust protection, den must compromise the convenience and use the Panasonic lens cap. For lazy person like me (esp on the move), I will use the auto lens cap ;p

yes it is on display, they are mounted on the LX5.

Just a concern, will the part of the lens that push the lens cap wear off after sometime ??

that i cant answer you as i dont use this cap (or own this camera to begin with)

I just go it last weekend. the cap is just a simple plastic cover with 3 flaps that opens when cam is turned on so it will not cause any "stress" on the len barrel itself. nice idea
