LX3 and external flash...

You can use the Nikon SB900 on the LX3, no go with SB400.

However, I don't see the point of using a SB900 with the LX3, I might as well bring my DSLR.

The Nikon SB400 will only work with Nikon cameras.

It's a good compact flash but unusable with the Panasonic LX3.

A FL36 is a in between a SB99 & SB400.....

I'll have to say that the SB400 was a bad buy as I wanted to use it with my Ricoh GX100.

In the end, it only works with Nikon cameras.:cry:

It will work but no TTL. Since you looking at METZ 20 C-2 why not consider the METZ 28AF-3 Oly?

You are rite... Oly FL36/R seem like the only option... Panny FL220 - No tilt or swivel. No wireless TTL flash mode. AAA x2. It was launch just to solve the adapter bottom black out problem.

Only the FL36R is available now (first-hand), but the "R" is useless for the LX3..... like it is useless for my FZ50... :bsmilie:

I've just bought the Metz 20 C-2 and it does work with the LX3, price is $105 at K13 Marketing, Peninsula Plaza.

No TTL. You've manual, 2.8 and 5.6 aperture setting.

No TeTekL with SB900 only Aperture mode.

If I was to bring the SB900, I would rather bring my DSLR along.

The TTL function would work only with 4/3 Flash ( such as FL36, FL50, etc )...
