the fact that its discontinued by minolta makes it even cheaper. ill probably pay 450-500 dollars for it. It's a very good camera indeed huh? I love so many things about it like mechanically adjustable zoom, manual focus, high-res. EVF, EVERYTHING is manually controlable, LCD screen on top of camera like in the old days, 4 different jpeg compressions, 28 mm wide angle et cetera et et cetera....

any comments?

Power hungry.

if you do get it at $450-500... GRAB IT!

great buy!

I doubt if anyone would be willing to sell at that price. Too low for its value.

yeah.. like i mentioned.. if u see one at that price, grab it..

although a more likely going price is $800-900...
hehe like my set..

=)

well, if i'm given a choice, probably i'll choose to invest in A1 rather. the AS thing will definitely come in handy in low-light conditions.
how much is a second hand A1?

I totally agree with ileaf, especially so for the battery life too (I had it use for one charge for 300+ pictures with mix use of flash sometime).

please dont give yrself headache, it take power like super fast. try the A1, much much bettter, my friend sold his 7Hi becourse of this. A1 the choice pls, i tried one and end up buying it, very sharp lens.
