what's wrong with the original bag?
you want something totally different?

You can only wrap the upper section of your tripod, because the lower sections need to slide in and out and thus cannot be wrapped (as far as I know).

On a related note: I eyeing the Manfrotto Neotec monopod. But several reviews say "kena water sure die". I am wondering if there is some waterproof wrap solution to this problem. Thanks.

:) hehehe ok point noted.
Not sure if you'd consider the Benro bags (@ Benphoto, Peninsula Shopping Centre). They're also black, but some have quite comfy padding.

Usually it would be the clips/joints that are vulnerable to water exposure. Don't think that they can be waterproofed effectively with any wrap, since you'd still need to release them to store the legs.

hmmmm

Means that the legs can be folded over the head, this makes the tripod more compact when folded.
This is a feature in the N & R (i think) series from Sirui tripod. Very good if you want your tripod to be shorter. Note that the tripod will grow fatter though.

T series actually. And the N series, I think, the one with the mono pod.

Let me help you out with the wrap for the tripod legs.

There are, of course, other places selling these.

As for the bag, I doubt there will be any that lives up to your satisfaction.

You can try OP they have the no brand ones as well as the branded ones from kata etc. I am using the no brand ones. Quite well padded.
