'Cassanova' detained

HE would prowl nightspots at Clarke Quay and coffeeshops around Bencoolen, befriending and courting local women, before using them as drug mules. ;(

Well known. There was an article last year about Nigerians conning local women into being drug mules.

But what does that say about local women? Very dedicated? Very trusting? Willing to do anything for what they think is love? Or just plain gullible/naive (welcome to the world outside Singapore)?

reminds me of the show Banged_Up_Abroad

there is an episode quite similar to this scenario...

Well.... Ang Mor kena caught even in Thailand could expect the Thai King to pardon them after sometime.....

Not so in S'pore or Malaysia.... which IMHO, is a good thing

Why don't you put on some lipstick, a short skirt and a wig and pretend to be a lonely woman and see for yourself how easy to be conned by the sweet talkers? :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Wonder why we have read of news that highly educated people make illegal transaction to get million of dollars?

They are fully grown highly education senior staff and can't they judge too?

It is the human nature. Nothing to do with education. One can be very highly educated and yet doing all sorts of illegal stuff, or chase own parents out of the house, or being impolite or rude or no manners,.... the list goes on and on.

In other words, one can be of low educated/poor but kind-hearted, fillial or polite or considerate, and so on. But nothing very surprising, humans tend to be superficial most of the time. If Mr A looks handsome/rich (if he claims to be)/polite (acting to be), she will most likely be impressed by Mr A. Plus all the honeyed words, 90% of the women will fall for it.

Mr B so so looking, no money but kind hearted or fillial or polite-watever good points he has, people cannot see, he is just a normal person. Women usually won't take a 2nd look at him.

So in conclusion, its the human nature (superficial).
