together with the pros and cons of the cameras. This could help prospective owners make up their decision.

I would also post similar threads for other budgets....

Obvious choice is G2.
Reason? It rivals 5mp DC above the $1500 price range. Guess no need to say more huh :D

how would you rate the Dimage 5 when compared against G2, S602Z and 4500?

also, give more reasons! ;p

hmmm.... for threads like this to work, need to have some guidelines methinks!

So, how about a std criteria like:-
1. Features
2. Value for Money
3. Ease of Use
4. Picture Quality
5. Accessory System

And give a score of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.

Also a section where the poster can give a subjective opinion based on actual use of the camera?

Great suggestion! :)

Following Darren's suggestions, recommendations should come with ratings in the following categories:

1. Features
2. Value for Money
3. Ease of Use
4. Picture Quality
5. Accessory System

And give a score of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.

You could also add your (subjective) opinion based on actual use of the camera.
