What do you guys use?

Lightroom standalone - does buying this now allow me to get updates within the current major version (5)?
What are the chances that Adobe would give allow LR5 standalone users to upgrade to LR6 standalone for FREE?--considering LR6 could probably release in the next 4 months

Would buying the CC have an option of reverting to LR standalone within the subscription period?

What are some keeper preset "sets" do you know?
better or on par as these:

Zero. Don't recall previous upgrades ever being free. Part of the appeal, they hope, of the subscription model is exactly that, no need to worry about upgrading as you always get the most recent version.

The licensing is treated separately, so for example, if you purchased a 1-yr subscription license, and decide to purchase the perpetual license (aka standalone) after 6 months. You won't get refunded. So there's no 'reverting' in that sense. They treat it separately, as far as I can tell. Check out this thread:

They are the same version (application binary) that is licensed differently. One uses a serial (perpetual license) and one uses an Adobe ID to sign-in (CC membership).
