I ordered online activation code from amazon previously. No need to wait for shipping, just download from adobe website straight.

Previously I bought Lightroom 6 from Pic N Pixel when Funan was still there, however they also don't sell the boxed version, after paying they give you a serial number and you download the program yourself.

Hi Everyone, sorry to barge into this thread. I am a noob and want to learn Lightroom , If anyone has attended a Lightroom workshop please recommend workshops which teach well.

I know its an old post, but would like to seek your advice if the link still works to purchase the Lightroom 6 Standalone.
I almost click on purchase, just before that I gave ADOBE a call to his customer service and ask why I am not able to find it in ADOBE's site for the sale of standalone version.
He replied ADOBE no longer sell standalone and have removed from the site.
So I held back, and ask if anyone tried the link

Adode has changed it's buisness model to a monthly subscription type from 2015 so no more standalone sales.
It has 2 plans for lightroom: Lightroom CC (cloud computing) with cloud storage which is not cheap .
Lightroom classic which can run on pc as standalone please check their website.
Alternatively there are free,shareware equivalents but expect zero to very little or forum type technical support.

A bro has done it before, but pls do note that LR6 will not receive any updates from Adobe as they have happily moved to a subscription system to squeeze more cash from us users.

The key info is not that standalone LR6 is still available from some sites. The key info is that standalone LR6 is a discontinued product. If you are starting out from scratch and not upgrading an existing LR installation, consider very carefully if you want to build a catalog, organise your photo and have all your edits on LR6 standalone. You may need to go for the subscription model in the future to keep abreast with the new features.
As for me, I have been a user since LR4 and am using LR6 standalone. I am currently looking for an alternative as I do not want to use a subscription based s/w app.

Thank you guys for all the information, I use to have LR4 too, loving it until one fine day my PC crash and could not find my Softcopy of it... Currently using Luminar 2018, not really that user-friendly as Batch processing can be a pain sometimes. Perhaps will try the Local reseller first. Thank you.
