Lightroom 2 Issues. Need Help

Anyone of you here experienced this problem using Lightroom 2 on Mac? Any advice

The Problem

Problem 1
Usually when we chose edit in CS3, we would be given an option asking us whether to work in 16 bit or 8 bit and saving in PSD or Tiff file. The option seems to have disappeared from this version. It was still in existence in the Lightroom 2 beta version.

Problem 2
After editing in PS, the file just refuse to appear in lightroom 2. Any advice. Getting quite fedup. Problem was not present in LR1 and LR2 Beta.

hey i got the same issue yesterday while editing some pics.

you can set the 'edit in' options under 'preference'. i am also wondering what happened to the dialog box that appears with 'edit in'.

ok i found a workaround on peachpit. apparently it's a common problem.
