hi jeff, i used bulb mode with F8.0. Timed myself for about 15 seconds each shot. Shoot about 3 - 4 times before i managed to get this. After which I tried another 3 times but failed.
You tried at night or during other timing ?

you are quite lucky. I tried taking 20++ shots, each time about 10 secs. The lightning always eludes me. It always strike in between my shots... sigh. nice one you have.

I love it!

However, IMO, I would crop out the bottom area of the image.

The lightning is stunning!

Nice capture.

EDIT: Btw, don't mind could you share where you took this shot from? TIA :)

Night time...
My guess is my photo was underexposed and the lightning strike too far so mayb thats why cant see on the photo
Argh I shall perserve and try again when i see lightning :bsmilie:
Anyway thanks for your input

Good timing. Must try 4D this weekend.:bsmilie:

Nice capture buttie. Go for a pano crop. Crop the top off and leave the bottom untouched. Bring up the shadows in the clouds and skies and adjust a bit of saturation.

Given the two option, i tried a top crop and bottom crop.
Which is better ?

Top crop: more 'dramatic' ?

Bottom crop: focus is more on the lightning ?
