haven't been posting here in some time..

Lightning-1.jpg

was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time to capture this pic.. wanted to contrast the advancement of technology which seems so insignificant compared to the awesome power of nature..

want to know how I could better improve the processing of the pic..

Very nice lightning shot, seeing a lot of these these days.. Must be the weather.. =D

Bottom part looks blown out though, and easily can correct the wide angle distortion and slight horizon tilt. Other than that, I think pretty fine picture; can tweak the colours to your liking using digital filters, or if you shot in RAW, play with WB setting. =)

thanks for the comments.. would try that some other time when I'm free..
anyway, that was shot with my S80.. the wide end does have noticable distortion but then its wide..

hi, nice shot u captured.
Care to share wat setting u used?

Cheers

As requested,

15s, f/4.5, ISO 100 @ 5.8mm (28mm eq)

The trick I think is to darken the surrounding so that the lightning stands out...
Probably play abit more on the contrast or do the S-curve thingy via Curves (PS)
