n0d3, do you know what is the shutter lifespan for entry level DSLRs? (eg. CANON 350D, NIKON D50, NIKON D70, etc.)n0d3 said:So for dSLRs you should be worried about the shutter count as its a mechanical unit that flips up/down each time you take a shot, its dependent on which model/type of camera (e.g. pro bodies tend to have a higher threshold).
Thanks for the info, n0d3.n0d3 said:Canon 300D - 10,000 = 0.066 CENTS A SHOT Based on price $670.00US
Canon 350D - 50,000 = 0.015 CENTS A SHOT Based on price $789.00US
Canon 20D - 100,000 = 0.013 CENTS A SHOT Based on price $1300.00US
Lifted these off somewhere, but I guess its a conservative number. There are plenty of people with well over 50K shots on their 300Ds and still no shutter problems.
IIRC, D70/D70s is 50,000-60,000Canew said:n0d3, do you know what is the shutter lifespan for entry level DSLRs? (eg. CANON 350D, NIKON D50, NIKON D70, etc.)
