Frequently Asked Questions

What age group is this workshop suitable for?
This workshop is suitable for children from 7-14 years of age. Should your child be outside of this age group, kindly highlight to us and we will do our best to work out a customized workshop for you to maximise the learning for your child.

Does my child need a DSLR to join?
No. Digital technology advancement has done a great job to introduce great functions and features to existing digital compact cameras of today. We want to maximise your child's proficiency and ability to exercise his creativity with camera equipment that he is/will be familiar with, be it a compact camera or DSLR. However, please note that film camera is NOT encouraged as it does not provide instant visual feedback during the 3-hour session for your child and we are unable to provide constructive photo reviews.

Can I join my child in his/her workshop session?
Based on our experience, children are more opened to exploring their immediate surrounding and exercise their creativity on their own and/or with their peers in the group, in the absence of their parents. They are usually more motivated to voice out their questions to instructors in such a setting. This is what we hope to achieve for each child in this workshop, as they maximise their time in the 3-hour session of nature appreciation, learning, exploring and exercising their creativity with their cameras.
For parent who are keen to accompany and learn along with their child on the photo workshop, $100 per adult applies.

What are the risks involved and how can you/we mitigate these risks?
No imminent high risks were identified in this workshop from our risk assessments and we will also conduct on-location risk assessment and briefing to participants prior to the start of this workshop. Low risk of children getting cuts and bruises is present due to tripping and falling. We encourage children to wear pants to prevent cuts and bruises in the event if they were to trip and fall. Ethan Lim is a qualified first-aider (CPR) and we bring along a first aid kit for each workshop to administer first-aid, if necessary.

Do you conduct such workshops in schools?
Yes. If you are a teacher or school staff who would like to incorporate our workshops in your school, feel free to contact Ethan at ethan@lifelistchase.com or 9226 1226 and we will do our best to tailor suitable workshop(s) for your school. For parents who like to have our workshops incorporated at your child's school, we appreciate your help to link us up with the school staff.
