i actually prefer the birds around Shenton way......there's more variety of species, esp around summer......

the easiest way to catch them is when they come out foraging for food.

remember to bring at least a 200mm there!

yes. due to the hot weather, many species shed their bright colored plumage when they come out to feed. that's when they are also the most active.

Be sure to set up your hide in the shade, as the weather can be unbearably hot this time of the year.

the other time to catch the birds is during late evening, when they start their daily migratory patterns.

Swinging Hip Sparrows
