Since my family is away, thought to do StartTrails in Batam/Bintan Islands. Earlier there was a massive response to this [thread=1037220]Interested in StarTrails?[/thread]. So this will be a kind of weekend vacation, my thoughts would be staying in good hotel on Room sharing basis. .
What kind of Hotel should we choose?
Well a hotel attached to beach would be very good since we will have more convenience to shoot seascapes.
Duration of stay?
If we plan to leave SAT-morning, we can take a room for 24hrs and that would be till sunday noon. Rooms has to be shared by 2 in 1 Room.
Expenses?
Even am not sure about this, we will have a meetup and discuss where to stay. When I search in AsiaRooms, a good beach hotel is coming around $95. so throw up your thoughts.
What we will shoot?
if we check in on SAT by noon, we will have lunch and then go out for street shoot. Then settle down near to beach by 6pm, shoot sunset followed by StarTrails and some more long exposures say untill 9pm. Go back to hotel have some dinner/beer & sleep.
Wake up early in the morning to shoot sunrise and even we can explore more places if time permits.
When we will plan this event?
May be in 2/3 weeks. will have to discuss on our meetup session.
Members have to confirm and plan their budget. No drop outs allowed once confirmed. All expenses have to be on shared basis excluding dinner/drinks & other personal.
