Took out an old lens from the dry box. Looked okay so i used the lenspen to clean off some dust specs and fingerprint marks.
But later realised might be fungus.

Can the lenspen still be used??
:(

can still be used..

if you want all your other lens to have fungus as well. :bsmilie:

Yikes....

IamJeFfy, i think i shouldn't use it liao...
aih... what a waste of a new lenspen. Dumb-dumb me.

:(

try putting ur lenspens under the sun for a few hours, it might kill the fungus.. but then again, u might not want to risk it on an expensive lens :p

i think fungus spores are everywhere, as long as you keep the lens in dry cabinet/dry box is ok already. it doesn't matter. even if you try to keep the lens from source of fungus but the enviroment is humid, it s useless.

It will only kill the developed fungus, but the spores will remain and start growing once the conditions are good (humid, dark, organic material around).

I used the wrong lenspen yesterday!!!!
(faint)
Now thinking how to clean the lens?!
Or should i just not worry?

*I've a dry cabinet so my cameras are kept there all the time.

Stop worrying, start shooting. Equipment is meant for usage, not for storing. And it's stronger than you think.
