Based on what you have, I would bring: 18-55, 50-200, 35 f/2.4.

Thanks

this kind of thing very subjective one lah... we didn't know that u were carrying video camera and tripod and we have no idea what you will be shooting, how you will be using your gear and what is your shooting style.

if this is a casual family holiday, i would suggest you travel light... carrying all that gear is gonna give u nightmares and you will be a walking target for thieves with a video camera, DSLR and expensive lenses.

if i had to choose, for a casual holiday, i would just bring the 18-55. but that's just me cos i normally shoot close and i don't like superzooms.

As felix and others said, kits and 50-200 is enuf, cos if too many lens, its cumbersome and heavy having to carry those lens aound when u travel. I would suppose its travel and casual holiday and u want to have fun and excitement. Travel light.....

If I am going for birding or specific macro trips, then those tripod, monopod and many other accesories is neeeded for that specific trip, including different focal lenss, spares battery and many back-up. cos its a photographic trip mainly for that purpose.

marcus

I went Italy with 2 lenses tammy 17-50mm and Sigma 10-20mm and guess what I only used my 10-20mm and was too lazy to change to 17-50. I guess I am just a landscape type of person.

Dun break your back over it... especially if you are traveling with family.
Kit + Short Tele is nice enough. Others will be extra.
95% of my US trip shots were with the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8... mostly the usual group, scenery and some street shorts.

Thank you guys.

Do agree on the xtra weight and we need to take care our 5yrs old daughter too.

Btw should I sell all FA zoom , since I have DA zoom........:dunno:
