Hi People ,


Can 17-50 Tamron F2.8 and Canon 50 F1.8 be used for AD.

Can you please try a search? This is probably the 200th "what lens for AD" thread.

And FYI, you can use your kit lens too. It all depends on your shooting style.

Depending on what u want to shoot. I've shot an AD wedding before for my friend just using a 17-40 and a 50mm on my 5D.

both lens you've are pretty good for weddings. I know a few guys even shoots with 18-200mm in weddings too.

But if you're the main photog, make sure you play around with the settings, else you might mess up in the last min. Just don't forget the flash :thumbsup:

As suggested, doing a search will help reveal the wealth of info already discussed.

The flash is more important that the 50/1.8 imho.

coupled with flash it should work perfectly well

given you have a f/2.8 (rather fast) lens and a fast prime

you won't go wrong
