Lens Servicing - Where?

Besides the designated service centres for each brand, where are the other companies/shops we can send our lens for repair & service? Any good ones to recommend and bad ones to avoid?

I prefer to go to the authorised centre for repairs. no point saving a little and have lots of problems later. Besides, warranty issue too...

But if you really want to know, perhaps our experts here can share their experience and shops.
