Hello am getting a new A7iii Sony full frame camera soon and was wondering the better option if i am on a budget. (willing to spend but possibly save as much as i can)
Currently doing some casual shoot and simple videos.

Currently between both lens:
Sony 16-35 f4 or Sony 24-70 f4

Was also thinking for longer term use,

16-35 now and get a fixed focal 55/85 or 24-70 then a wide angle lens for landscape.

The Sony 24-70 f4 is great for its size and focusing speed, but is quite soft in terms of sharpness. Have you considered the Tamron 28-75 f2.8?

Out of these two I would recommend 24-70 f4 for following reason.
For general walk around single lens, this focal range is more practical. It is wide enough to get reasonable landscape shots and close enough to get portraits. Moreover, with 70mm f4 you may able to get some bokehlecious shots. (16-35 will be a bit more specific for wide angle usage)
Another very good choice could be Tamron 28-75 2.8 (a bit expensive but has great reviews). I found 28mm to be a little less wide though. Specially if you would like to use it for Vlogs.

I bought 24-105 f4 in JB last year... cheaper there

Personally I use 24-105mm f4 as well. A bit big and heavy but very versatile and awesome image quality.

I seen reviews and videos. Seems like 24-105 has better quality details as compared to 24-70. Anyone has experience with both 16-35 and 24-105?

16-35 F4 & 24-105 F4 are the main lenses i bring along with me.... sold the 24-70 F4

Personally, I am having the 24-70f2.8, the 35f.28, the 50f2.8macro and the 200-600. When I travel, I only bring the 2 primes.
