But this macro and my omd will means bye bye to scanning on flatbed

Really? Is it so good for documents?

Isn't scanning much easier and accurate?

Anyone knows the optics on the best flatbed scanner is inferior to a macro lens. The focusing issue with a flatbed is also well known. I have seen some reviews on this forum that their dslr did a better job in getting details than flatbed v700.

We will see soon if the 16mp sensor with this lens is good for scanning purpose.

thats definately true... unless you're scanning specialised medium, the dedicated film scanners (like those V700 flatbeds) does a better job...

True about the resolution of macro lens for copy work. The other key thing is getting bright, even lighting on the subject. Can be especially tricky if the material is shinny.

For me, its hard to shoot it perfectly orthogonal and perpendicular. So for documents, i prefer to scan.
