Folks,

Really need advise on lens hood.

Those rubber collapsible is better or the plastic type is better?

Can recommend where can i get one and whats the price of it?

Thanks.

Eeeerrrrr.......

Any advise?

Each Lens Hood is design and made for 'THAT' lens only... using a one-type-fits-all lens hood won't be as good. If you can't afford original plastic lens hood.... you might consider 3rd part ones.

My 2-Cents worth....

The advantage of rubber ones is easy storage. Advantage of plastic is added protection for your lens front element against knocks. Given the choice, like what diver-hloc said, get the ones designed specifically for the lens you are using...3rd party will do just fine.

For pricing go to the Mass sales section. Try to look for lens hoods both original and third party ones. Hope these helps.

usually the collapsible rubber lens hood are for standard focal length lens, and the delicate hard type lens hood for standard focal length is hard to get, as long using the right lens hood for the right lens is fine.

Ok noted

a zillion thks.
