Lens hood all the time?

Do you keep your lens hood on all the time? heard it was for sunny conditions only but sometimes see people using with flash indoors oso? :dunno:

i use the lens hood all the time except when using my hotshoe mounted flash and my built-in flash.

Are you refering to SLR or ur sony?

With lens hood., flare could be avoided.. It will improve contrast too.

When using those built in flash, better remove the hood as some hood will block the bulit in flash.

Then my answer is applicable to you...

Something hood can prevent a lens damage if u accidentally bang the lens onto a hard surface. This is becos the hood will take most of the damage.

The morale of the story is:

If the lens had a hood, USE IT! :)
