Hi.

Need advise for outdoor shooting. I'm using Canon 50D.
Wondering what are the lenses that professionals use for outdoor wedding and fashion shoots?
Any recommendations?

Search for 'wedding lens' and 'fashion lens'. Chances are that you find white lenses, cause weddings happens to be in white quite often. Perfect match, isn't it? :)

The professionals use the right lens for the right scene, and whichever lens suits the shot they want to take and what their creative style is. In other words, ANY lens will do, the problem is NOT what is attached to the front of the camera, but rather what is behind the camera. I've seen top-level pros shoot with standard kit lens because it's all they needed for the shot they were going for.

Those are the lenses to shoot the bride. When shooting the groom, you need to get the black lenses that are labeled "Zeiss" because he wears black and wants to look sharp on his big day.

I honestly do not understand your question. Any lens can do the trick. It's really a matter of understanding the use of each lens.

if you're focusing on a model/person to emphasize beauty or fashion/ garment normally one would use 70-200. preferably a prime lens if you're not doing reportage.

If the emphasis is on the landscape usually a wide lens.

Maybe TS did not shoot enough to find his own style yet.....

I would go prime though....
hmmm if don't know what to shoot with.... think should just go shoot with kit lens... since it won't make a huge difference in that case..
