Hi All,

Recently i bought new Canon EF 24-105mm lens for my 40D EOS.
So far no major issue encountered with the lens, but i heard that if we still have the warranty we can send to CSC
for calibration.
i would like to know if anyone ever sent their lens for calibration to CSC, and if it's FOC ? or how much we need to pay ?
also how it will take for Canon to do the calibration ?

Look forward for the reply from everyone :)

If under warranty, it is FOC

If there is no back or front focussing issue with ur lens, don't be itchy backside to calibrate it

It's not free, you have to pay even if it's under warranty.

The service charges are listed over here.

I won't bother with calibration unless there's really a problem with focusing or sharpness.

I did mine FOC

Hi Chalib,

Thank you very much for the info, will try to find time to go to CSC.
Since i want to do some lubrication for the zoom ring also, it's a bit tight.

I was told (just two weeks ago) there will be charges for servicing items (e.g. AF adjustment or sensor cleaning) that are not defective, even when the item is still covered under warranty.
