Hello guys,

I have a question regarding this flash. I understand there are three apertures to choose from under 'A' mode. Does that mean that when I want to shoot at F2.8, I'll just set it at F2.8?

I'm using a M6 with a small Olympus FL 20. Always shoot at F8 at 1/50.

So I wonder if the SF 20 would offer me a bit more flexibility by allowing different apertures.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Yes. i think you have a choice of f2.8, f5.6 and i think f11

you can download the pdf file here: http://www.francescofragomeni.com/storage/Leica SF-20 User Manual.pdf

to use "A", set the aprture you like on the flash, then set the corresponding aperture on your camera. then shoot...

caveat:

1. set your iso accordingly
2. make sure you are within the shooting distance

Thanks for the reply.
So if I shoot TTL, I don't have to manually set the aperture on the flash right?
And it will always shoot at 1/50 (sync speed)?

yes..

Raytoei, do you still have the pdf? Sadly link is no longer valid...

You can shoot at larger or smaller aperture with any flash as long as you can adjust the flash output.
