would it be possible to use a flat bed scanner attached onto a self made black box? If some how we bypass the lamp.

Pls note I am not taking image quality here, only exploring the possibility.
 

Hahahhaaa... U're still on this idea...
Most prob the light entering the pinhole/lens is not enough.

In theory you can attach the flatbed scanner to a large format camera, disable the scanner light and then have the scanner scan the image formed by the camera's lens.

You might have to remove the glass panel on the scanner..

This solution can only work on still images, and you don;t have image preview (?).

i once read an article on the net about this guy who turned his flat bed scanner into a digital camera. unfortunately, i can't remember the link. i'll do some searching and if i find out, i'll post it.
