Not sure if this is the right place to post as I don't see many cars here?

Took these few months back when the car first arrived. Started @ 1.30am & done in an hour. Thank goodness my friend was game for it.

This is my 1st night strobe shoot with cars. Set up an SB800 & 2-3 Nissins plus long exposures to get them.

Oh, for those who are interested, this car is S$1.58million OTR & 30units sold in the region. Limited to 350 worldwide. It is the most powerful Lamborghini to date & a lightweight version.

I would have liked to have seen some photographs with the doors down - the scissor door feature no doubt rare, is overplayed in these shots and detract from the low, wide and aerodynamic shape that I know the car to have.

Actually I like #2... somehow the backlight gives a mysterious afterburner feel.

It's a great car i have no doubt...
the photos, I feel, don't do it justice.

Just wondering: In #2, was the flash in the frame, and the subsequent flare, intentional? Did you feel like it contributed positively to the photo in any way?

Similarly for #3, care to explain why you chose to have the flash show up in the frame?

I would suggest that a day shoot would be better, the strobes just doesnt work/help/enhance the whole shoot.

Composition for the 1st few pictures esp the ones with the lights kinda no "focus". The last one is fine, as a couple of posters said, yes the lambo would look better without the door being open.

Just my honest comments, no offense taken yea.

ps: actually the headlamps of the lambos are pretty nice, thats for the normal Murci. You can try to capture more detail shots.

Cheers!

Thanks for the comments. I've shot the Murcie or Lp to death ;)

So these were just highlighting some details of the SV where the regular Lp doesn't have.

As for the flares, I like it & some were of no choice due to set up. Besides, it's a first time I did an outdoor night shoot. Lighting up the black wing @ night was tough, right Vanq? :bsmilie:

Will take note on the comments for next shoot.

Yeap, let's practise more.

I'm getting some better lights rather than those flashes for cars as we need something more powerful & lot. Have u done the DBS, like to do one @ night again? Speaking of that I've not been shooting my own for the longest time!

from wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Reventón

"The Reventón's engine was a slightly tuned version of the Murciélago LP640's 6.5 L V-12, rated at 640 hp (480 kW)."

Only 21 reventon's were made, so definitely more exotic. ;)

of all ur photos,
only #3 can make it.
the rest? trash to the west.

Seriously, #1 the colours doesn't show out as a normal lp670
#2 & #4, tail lights.. ya?.....
#5, the most distinctive part of a lp670 murc is not the bodykit, from my point of view, it is the spoiler.

No prob dude ;)

We have different appreciation & I find that the tail lamp is simply beautiful. If u have the chance, please spend some time to look @ it especially when it's lighted @ night.

The color is Orancio Borealis which is a pearlescent paint & a shade pastel than usual screaming orange. I must admit that the color is not too good in #5 as the whole pic went a little shade of blue. The SV logo on the door tells us that this is the SuperVeloce (pronounced as super verlo'ce = super fast). A term very memorable to Lambo enthusiasts.

For pic #4, the engine cover vents are remarkably different from the regular car. They are polygonal/hexagonal instead of flat panes & I wanted to capture the subtle shades of it.

The spoiler is actually derived from their GT races with Reiter Engineering & yes a must have option. If you see carefully, the entire nose has new lines & vents but they had to paint it black which makes them "disappear" & an eyesore when it picks up stone chips. The rear diffuser is also quite exaggerated.

Anyway, this exercise is for me to capture little subtle details of the V12 & trying out night+outdoor shoot. If you guys would like to see complete car & cabin, I can always arrange for it.

OMG,

forgive the crude remarks but !!!

DAMN, i could get turned on by looking at this car man !!

;p
Yes it is. Steals my heart everytime I sees it too!

Yep. The engine was blue printed but strangely did not churn out more figures. I think it was 10-20 more when a 3rd party tuner could extract up to 50 more by tweaking the ECU. My friend claimed he saw 700 on the dyno sheet which I'm skeptical.

There's a rarer version of the Reventon, the roadster with 15 made & this time, 4 sold here ;)

Crazy price tag of 1.1million Euro & pre-taxed!
