If she's cute, sexy and bubbly, 40 years old still ok what. But the problem here is does she want me in return.... sigh... there's goes my 1Ds Mark II. (woopss) just kidding....
1) Do our local guys have high expectation?
I think so, but i dun... ya see... i dun really expect much, i dun go for looks, nor height, nor money, etc... ppl who know my u-know-who will know...
2) Or is it the ladies have high expectation?
i guess so, i know some who really no car no talk, and need guys thats at least above average looking, 1.75 minimum etc...
3) Is it due to local guys really feel inferior that ladies have higher qualifiation n earning more $ then guys which resulted in above...
hmm, when i know mine, i still studying for my degree... but then again, i'll feel inferior if my gf is a PhD and i am only a diploma, thats y i din date a PhD 1 last time...
4) which in turn resulted guys outsourcing for spouses overseas?
how i know... must be either they are desperate or something... and most of those adverts are misleading... and its only purely business as far as i know...
5) Guys like to be commanding like to be above everything n control everything be it in life or in love...etc...
sometimes i let girls ride on top of me, but most of them prefer to be lying down... :devil:
ya know, end of the day, for me as a guy, i'd still like to go home & see my wife and sleep hopefully on the same bed rather than she is at some meeting or party that god knows wat she doing...

how i know... but den who will mind higher income & higher qualification? but who will say mind if guys lower income/qualification when asked?
7) Is it the demand for equality in the society that ladies wanted to proof that whatever a guy can do they can also or to out perform guys or simply too career minded?(dun misunderstood me its ok to be career minded but not over)
tat depends on their mindset, if they are those straight As ppl, then they're mostly out to proof themselves... but if they're those normal types, most likely they are working just for their basics and abit of surplus, then hope for nice family and such...
8) Or is it that the Reality over rules True love? (eg:no $ no talk, cost of living, guys must make the first move, being a divorce....etc)
in sg, most probably... cos ya know... next year 7%, go see movies maybe increase cost, then fuel increase cost, everything talk money... even banquet also increase cost... how to not talk money when everything origin and eventually faults from it?

I personally think it would be better if they dun annouce her as a millionaire! Maybe just say a successful biz women actually dat alone would do!:bsmilie:
How about the expectation of the ladies in the 40's, still want to marry some rich, good looking, matching or higher educated man? Or will she marry someone who are much lower qualify, e.g. much younger or older, earning much less than her, not good looking, shorter, may have some bad habits etc?
I guess in Singapore woman most would rather than be single than marry low. Those men who match their standard probably all marry younger women or snatch up by other more qualify women long time ago.

sad siah.. men 40 still got ppl want, but when women turned 40 then really got many nasty remarks. that's why they have a term 'spinster' mainly to describe 'lao gu por' but wat terms to give men over 40? diamond bachelor

Maybe it is due to the terms come from the olden days when at that time is zhong nan qing nu, guys dominace thats why the term spinster or diamond bachelor :dunno:
