more learning as 2nd photog @ my kindergarten friend's wedding!
couldn't borrow a d700... rented a 17-55, 85 1.4 D, 70-200 to go with my d300 & SB700.. more comfortable handling this time... although I wasn't very comfortable shooting out of my thinktank retro 30 (but i really love this bag)
mmm.
first time handling the 70-200, i need to work on my hand holding techniques... and be more aware of required shutter speed.
more or less paid for a learning experience!

Hope nobody got any nightmares from the last post.. I was at a halloween event.
But she really is quite a cute and bubbly person, a blogshop model if I'm not wrong.
So I wasn't lying when I said "cute girl" and "make up artist" in the same sentence.
here's something totally casual and whimsical... a quick wide open shot from my trusty 50mm 1.4 AI'D.... and even more whimsical post processing.

Welcome to my 85 1.8 D.
In other news... my tamron 17-50 is really broken... the focus is wayyy off when i use a hot-shoe flash with it. (from the time I dropped it and the zoom is a bit stiff and i think some chip inside for interpreting data with hot-shoe flash got decimated)
Still it has served me well as evidenced by the majority of the shots in this thread and my previous APAD thread.
Does anybody want to buy it off me? Think of it as a cheap kit lens upgrade.... $150?

think... i'll have to junk it soon for a 28-75.
but i need the wide end.

Silence of the fishies.
Love the Christmas deco at Fullerton... good place to do a xmas themed portrait shoot while it lasts.
(Anyway i have to admit i photoshopped away a few light blobs to make the background totally black.)
