ths background is just too cluttered.

mind telling what lens you are using ... the CA on your wise angle shot (#2) is quite bad ...

For #2, you may want to try an alternative version by using a wider aperture to blur more on you background.

the background is rather cluttered and distracting. Maybe it could have been better to use a thin DoF? And the pose is a bit unnatural IMO, unless you're aiming for something artistic, which I guess you're not?
