The 4/3 section group are a rowdy, err.. friendly bunch.... The last two times we met, we were spending time to get to know one another better, and therefore many of the agenda that we were supposed to be talking about were never touched in depth.

So I have decided to make things a little more "formatted" so that there is something to stick to.

For this, in the next kopi session, we will do a "seminar style" presentation for the basic training in these areas, before we drift off and chat again, (which we love to do) :
  • Why 4/3?
  • Basic concept of the 4/3 system and its advantages (to know your camera is to help you take better pictures).
  • Field of View and your Point of View about the 4/3 system.
  • Camera settings and what on earth they really do.
  • So many lenses and focal length, when to use what?
  • Photoshop, Olympus Master and Olympus Studio... (touch and go about this, as it opens up a can of worms).
And... A special review of the E-410 and all the new functions within the camera. (Please, we are not comparing this with other products, just a review of what is new and usable in the new series of cameras).

** The above are subjected to change. We will update the changes.

Who should attend?
  1. Anyone who owns a 4/3 camera system or intending to get one.
  2. Someone who own a 4/3 camera system and want to better learn how to optimize your investment.
Add your names to the list (as usual)

1. microcosm
2. drakon09
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

As usual, we would love to see more Panny users come join us at these outings. We will share about how our Panny cousins are adding more excitement to the "family". Cheers.

We will have a serious laugh as Olympus has made cameras to become accessories to the lenses (see pic below) :
(For the first time, you have to "dismount the camera by turning the camera, not the lens")

And talk about the handling of the new E-410 (drakon90 will rave and rave about it despite its petite size). OM fans will definitely be blown away.
(This is the closest thing to a digital OM body!)

We will take a look and discuss about the camera a month after its launch.

And maybe... throw the happy new owner into the river!
(I cannot stand his happiness! Very jealous!)

So see you all at the next kopi session...

By the way : If there are things that you want us to bring up at the kopi session
under "agenda" please feel free to do so in here, so that we can prepare the answers for you. OK?
We are not product specialists, but with our limited knowledge, we shall share as much as
we can about the system and related questions and issues.

And oh... in all kopi session tradition, we will continue to discuss the after sales service of Olympus.

Bummer... sorry that you will be away for so long... but we will get together again when you are back in Singapore. All the best to your outstation contract. Hope you make loads of $$$ and buy more gear and share with us... that would be awesome!

You are most welcome. Everyone has a part to make it happen. The community was what that makes this great.

The production E-410 will be at the session, for those who want to get poisoned...

It works a lot better than the sample that chancy brought down in the second session.

There shall no longer be "boys talk" in the Four Thirds forum for drakon09, as his moderator is now an official member of ClubSNAP. All mourn for the loss of a talented c*ck talker in this section.

Any incident that leads to permanent disability, injury or death is not my responsibility.
Any case of broken windscreen, lenses, flash heads or damaged E-1 is not my problem.
This is CS forums, and while folks like J can post nonsense, so can I... (oppps... I am a SU!)

 Drakon will tell you he has never been stopped! Unless he 'jios' too many aunties or ah lians. So please carry on...;) But remember, HELL HAVE NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED!
I'm only a Draconian (no PUNS intended) when absolutely necessary; ie. when in class with the juveniles or snooty sales people at Prada. I don't bite. Honest.

Guys - let me have contact list and all so that I can work out attendance and agenda.
