Not sure price, but based on dpreview's US$400 that would put it in the $700 price range.
Cannot do night shots as its minimum shutter speed is only 1/8 secs. You need more than 2 secs to be able to do any night shots. Zoom also not very powerful - 2X optical zoom and 3X digital zoom.
But having owned a Kodak before, they can produce very good pictures in daytime. Very sharp, clear and great colours.
If you're on a low budget (< $600), I would recommend the Canon A40.
