Studio Portraiture Workshop

Lesson 1: 22nd February 2011, Tuesday, 7.00pm to 10.00pm (Theory Lesson)
Lesson 2: 26th February 2011, Saturday, 2.00pm to 6.00pm (Practical Lesson)

Course Fee: $210.00 (Including model fee for 2 models)
Things to bring: DSLR camera, IR trigger or a radio trigger (Optional)

Introduction
• Equipment and studio layout
• Camera, lenses and accessories / light modifiers

Technical Considerations
• Lighting ratios
• Definition of key light, hair light, fill light, background light
• Single lights Broad, Narrow lighting .
• Rembrandt lighting
• Butterfly lighting

Interpersonal Consideration
• Interacting with subject
• Posing the subject

Practical Studio Shoot
• Low Key setup
• High Key setup – white on white

Selecting and editing the images
• Basic photoshop
