The basic level teaches you the fundamentals of basic photography such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, when to use certain exposure settings, introduction to the techniques as well as basic image editing with the software. There will be practical session to enable the participants to practice what they have learnt.

This course is suitable for first time DSLR and Mirrorless system users who wants to learn to take better pictures with their cameras as well as current users who would like to have a refresher course. Many people have found the workflow created by the instructor interesting.

We make photography basics easy for you to understand; how to apply them and having fun from the process. We have lots of hands-on sessions with the camera both in the class as well as outdoor practical sessions, equipping you with skills that allow you to capture captivating images with confidence wherever you go.

You will also learn things like Design Elements, Techniques, Composition and what makes a good photograph.

Our small group size allows you to have better interaction with the instructors. Come and discover the world of photography, take up a hobby for life and have fun in photography

Modular and Flexi system
Our classes are modular which means if you miss any session, you can make up for the missed session in another batch. The content in every session is independent of one another and will not affect your flow in learning and we can arrange for you to make up for the missed lesson in another batch. Example, should you miss Lesson 2 due to your busy schedule, you can go for Lesson 3 and make up for Lesson 2 in a separate batch.

In the event if you like to come back for refresher or to clarify any doubts, we welcome you to have our free sit in during the future batches of the course. You can come back for refresher as many times as you want, as long as you notify us in advance.

Your Gear
Camera system of any brand, regardless DSLR, Mirrorless, Hybrids or high end compact camera which has the below exposure dials. If you have not purchased a camera and not sure which to purchase, come and consult our instructor during the Lesson 1 and he shall guide you accordingly.

Lesson # 1
- Introduction to digital photography.
- Type of cameras and equipment.
- Jargons made simple: Camera, Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed, White Balance etc
- Basic Fundamentals (Depth of Field, Composition rules, accessories)
- Flash Photography and its application.
- Effective application of flash in different cases.

Lesson # 2 (Camera needed)
- Composition Rule of Thirds.
- Application of the Exposure modes.
- Hands-on on camera settings.
- Test out the effects using different Exposure modes

Lesson # 3
- Design Elements which makes a picture WOW!
- Techniques in Photography
- Critique of sample images with problems.

Lesson # 4 (Camera needed)
- Practical Session: Outdoor Day Outing
- Applying the 4 exposure modes.
- Experience Exposure using the 4 exposure modes in the outdoor environment.
- Applying Depth of field for bokeh effect.
- Discover effect of faster & slower shutter speed

Lesson # 5 (Camera needed)
- Practical Session: Night shoot Outing
- Gain confidence in low light photography.
- Exposure in night photography.
- Case studies in night photography.
- Experiencing long exposure.
- Flash photography at night.

Lesson # 6 (Camera needed)
- Practical Session: Outdoor Day Outing
- Applying the 4 exposure modes.
- Searching for the subjects.
- Various case studies.

Lesson # 7
- Introduction to software
- Use of Lightroom to manage the images
- Use of Photoshop CS to enhance the images
- What Photoshop CS can do for you
- How Photoshop CS can make your pictures look better
- How HDR images are created
