I think it is underexpose. Also there is too much space on the left. Should have taken the whole cat. Just my opinion

Yupz its slightly under-exposed, was new to the d70... this was taken in JPG was too lazy to increase the brightness, also i dun own PS.
I puroposely left a lot of space.. to make the pic a bit different.

the negative space is appealing. its boring to shoot with the cat dead centre... this pic makes me imagine what the location is and what is in that space. not bad... but yes, underexposed...

hey dude, even if you have little experience with the D70, you could use photoshop to brighten up the pic... cheers.

The raw pics are not really that big, about 5~6 mb each . My collection of CF cards allow me to take 160 shots ... It actually discipline me to compose properly before i shoot.
