I told him we had none. His next set of instructions was.....we had to vacate the premises as this was Clarke Quay Management's policy.

You should take the trouble to check with the so-called "management".
Typically you should start at the very top and let them fire the people below, if there was no such policy.

Is it:
• CapitaMall Trust?• CapitaMalls Asia (CMA)?
• the manager employed by CapitaMalls Asia (CMA?
• the private sector security company that was contracted by the manager?
• the sub-contractor security company that the security company had subcontracted to?
• the low level security guard sergeant working for the sub-contractor security company?

WHO is the "management" that the guy said set this policy?


Sometimes when security guards are given a little bit of authority, this power gets to their heads and they start throwing their weight around.
Remember the previous case when a security guard chased a woman doctor out for breast feeding her child?
He got hell from the Singapore public and the management of the premises later on, when there was a public uproar.
