Not sure if u guys know abt this but I was looking thru some information on wiki, 1 thing lead to the next and I stumbled upon KEO when I was surfing on wiki regarding "11th Millennium"

The concept of a time capsule is not new, but this is slated to be opened in the Year 50,000 though (provided Earth is still around).

I was thinking, what will happen if the inhabitants of Earth 50,000 years from now decide that the satellite is an invasion probe from a hostile alien race and blow it up before it even reach back to Earth? Hmmm....

I think the Yahoo one is much shorter.

There are several International Time Capsule projects also, the earliest one to be opened shld be around the year 6000.

I was typing my message and barely into my 100th character, I deleted everything off and started thinking about the distant future. It may seem that Time Capsules are the 'in thing' nowadays, but it may belly a deeper & darker sense of thought - of the fact that we are all possibly looking at a dark future for humanity and underlying the fear that some memories may be lost forever.
