Kena Tekan In Camp

Hi

My friend's brother who is an NSF (driver) suffers from "adaptive disorder", hope i got the term right. It's due to being tekan by his officers.

He is feeling very stress in camp and wana get posted out. He went to see a govt doctor and is diagnosed as having this "adpative disorder" . According to the doc, one more stage, he would have to be treated at IMH.

The officers in camp is delaying in letting the camp MO do test on him.

Btw, i dont know how is he being tekan. He was crying when he called my friend to tell him about it.

I just wana gather some advice on what channel can the bro get help quickly? See MP?

Get black & white evidence that the camp is delaying this. Then go see MP & see what the MP suggest to help the case.

My heart goes out to him.

The fastest way is to approach the MP with the doc's letter. Else can write to the Minister of Defence and enclosed the doc's letter and demand an explanation and cc to the PM. It will move things like it never have

Denying someone with a medical problem treatment is wrong.

If the officers are still not letting him see the MO, get him to call either the SAF hotline or counselling hotline for help. They should be able to sort out the problem.

If it is still not resolved, can get your friend to try calling the MINDEF public hotline.

Let MINDEF solve it's problems, and bring MPs in only as a last resort.

By the way is your friend's brother for real or those chao keng type?
Not implying that your friend's bro chao keng, but have seen alot of people keng to downgrade become 8 to 5 admin staff.
My unit platoon has a few of these people, really can act damn well.
One even keng until sh1t and urine on the bed, in the end kena discharge from NS, no need to serve.
The rest all downgraded to admin staffs.

But if its a genuine kena tekan case. Can try calling SAF hotline first.
If fail, approach MP for help.

Yes, i will probe slightly further and advice my friend accordingly. And as the doc say, the brother is in danger of being a IMH patient, so i must take action now to help him.

Have to find out the exact cause, like how he's being tekan all these stuffs.

if you go mp .. confirm kena charge. never follow COC....

if you have a letter from the doc to confirm the disorder, just report sick and at Medical centre and SHOW it .

bro.. my best advise, if your friend's bro has black and white to state his disorder, then just ask him to report sick at medical centre. show MO the letter .

once MO sees it, it will take ETA 1-2 weeks before proper work can be done. eg, MO will fax the letter to MMI for further evaluation and the SAF Psychiatrist and/or psychologist will evaluate accordingly. in the meantime he might get temp pes and/or revocate temproarily....

i was once in MMI so i know how it works....

but yeah lets not listen to one side. for all we know,action is being taken just as we speak but we dont know/realise it. FYI, MO cannot do anything.. just a family doctor. further testing/evaluation can only be done by specialist ie psychiatrist/psychologist. MO can only evaluate and give a probable diagnosis- eg : suspsected XX.

please do note... that if the person KENG ... hard luck.. cause they do charge people for Keng.. and also there will be record even after NS ... many people think that after NS no more record of this "disorders" but they are dead wrong....

Maybe my Unit very slack.
Alot of people keng then downgrade successfully.
Kena posted to HQ admin do 8 to 5 job.
Before downgrade act damn depress, here pain there pain.
After downgrade when saw them, chio chio here chio chio there, damn buey gan.
My platoon mates and i are thinking to ourselves what a loser they are, no pride. :bsmilie:

but u see ah.. sometimes its safer to just downgrade that person.. u never know if its real and later kena sue....
