Kaohsiung hotel

Would like to seek a recommendation on hotels in Kaohsiung. Been looking at Splendor and Howard Plaza, or even Grand Hi-Lai... what are your recommended choices? Staying for 1 night only.

Howard is ok for one night. I assume you are taking Silkair and took their fly and hotel combo. I thought it was quite a good deal.

The reception is on 2nd floor and is not like a normal reception. It is actually like a very big room with chairs and tables and the sweet xmms receptionists will serve you there. Breakfast is Chinese/Taiwan style. Not fantastic but more than edible.

Howard is very near regular train station too (not to be mistaken with the high speed train station). Cab ride to train station less than 10 min.

No not flying Silkair there, going to Taipei actually, so thought I might hop on the high speed rail for a ride down to KHH.

IMHO, Hua Lian is more interesting and has more photo opportunities (given that this is Clubsnap).

Kaohsiung to me is just another city. It did not interest me much.
