guys, i need some suggestion...

I'm planning to do an upgrade on my dlsr (currently using *ISTDL)

here is my options..
1.) K20D (body only)
2.) (K200D + tamron 70-200 f2.8)
3.) (K10D + tamron 70-200 f2.8)

all of these three items will almost cost me 1,800 - 2,000 SGD

i will go for option 3, but i am waiting for some feedback on K200D...if the AF is as good as K20D plus metering and dynamic range meets my expectations, then i will go for option 2... option 1 :think: i will spend my money on lens instead...K30D perhaps :thumbsup:

I second this choice. But the Tamron 70-200mm/2.8 is still WIP.

Why not the 50 - 135mm? This range is actually very useful. Not that 70-200 isn't but at 200mm, it's not exactly very easy to shoot in less optimal light conditions handheld.

I was also asking myself if I shd go for the 50-135 or 70-200, but if I could get a teleconverter (Tamron), I could possibly just go with 50-135mm.

But price wise ... urgh...

K20D + Tamron 70-200 f2.8, or uses your old lenses first.:bsmilie:
Because you dun have the K10D.
Wait for the price to stable down. No point getting the K200D (xpensive than K10D). And no point to get the K10D, because K20D is much better.:lovegrin:

i 3rd that:thumbsup::bsmilie:

actually, get sigma 10-20, pentax 10-17 fisheye, tamron 180mm macro, pentax f/1.4 50mm along with that.. why not? :dunno:

ok , kidding aside, that's a good question, i'm still thinking long and really hard.. and thankfully i plan to only decide 2 or 3 months later.. what to get.. more lenses versus better body. :dunno:
